Agreed to pretty much everything except to Steven S. throwing in the towel... NOOO CAN'T HAPPEN!! Come on War of the Worlds was good!!He still has it... he just need to keep George's grubby fat fingers away from EVERYTHING!!Lucas need to be defenestrated ASAP! There was ONE part in the movie that was still sweet, when Shia annd Harrison, and running away on the motorcyle after starting a huge brawl... That was fun.... Watced it with high hopes, which were shattered at the first gopher...
cheers! you are totally right, Spielburg and Lucas are ruining everything wonderful they ever created. I remember standing in line for HOURS to see Starwars ep 1, it broke my heart. I'd even go so far as to say Lucas went insane after Empire Strikes Back, I think he was brainwashed by muppets or something. From ewoks to Jarjar to gophers and monkeys, it's like all he really wants is to direct a big Carebare Adventure. I will pretend the Indy saga was never tainted just like how I pretend Star Wars wasn't digitally "enhanced" and the prequels never happened
Woo! Go you! I pretty much agree with everything you said. The ants thing.... Wow. Ants. That eat people. Yep. And the monkeys. I was like 'WTF? Seriously? MONKEYS? They save the day?'
The only thing I even liked about was Shia Lebeuof. He's just really talented, though. I think the fridge should have appeared again and saved everyone. Oh, and I don't know, but do cars ACTUALLY FLOAT? Cause I don't think so. But whatever. Lovely rant!
I honestly didn't expect much out of it, but it was WAY more rediculous than I thought it would be.
Ok, so I totally understand your dissappointment. A large portion of the movie is just one Deus Ex Machina after another. However, I do think you're being a little harsh. Honestly, it seems to me you're taking the movie a bit too seriously. I think that the movie was simply meant to be a fun romp with good ol' Indy. Nothing too earth shattering, nothing too complex. And I think that was accomplished. Sure, there were parts that could have been done without, like the aliens and the monkeys...those were just not good moves.
Anyway, like I said, don't take the movie too seriously. I don't think it was meant to be. I enjoyed it, if only for the experience of seeing Harrison use that bullwhip again.
Because he's a stud-muffin.

They spend millions of dollars on making movies... millions... don't you think that's warrant for thinking critically?
They are sucking audiences in with this garbage and they are succeeding. I don't know about you but I think being harsh is needed so they think twice about making this kind of movie again. Let me tell you, if everyone boycotted the next big budget picture Hollywood would think twice about their actions.
It's all about how stupid consumers are. I'm just as stupid for trusting them to make something decent. After 2000-2001 they just stopped caring about movies. Small budget no-name films like Juno are bringing it back as an art-form... and of course they get less marketing.
I can't wait for the next big picture Speilburg and Lucas will slap their names on.

"Ive never seen such trash in all my life. This is the kind of film Id expect from Disney! and that said, Id rather pay to see another PIRATES movie over watching this garbage again "
Totally right ! I'd like to watch "Pirates of the Caribbean : the curse of the Black Pearl" now, 'cause it was amusing, fun and really entertaining at least ! Just like the original Indiana Jones... I'm sad now... T_T
